About Pronghorn Racing

Pronghorn Racing designs is high end, state of the art MTB frames.

Pronghorn Racing is a radically new racing concept based on current mechanical engineering knowledge and insight provided by the best world cup mechanics on the circut today . We pay great attention to detail and produce limited quantity to increase consumer value. The products are aimed at performance cyclists. Our products are designed by one of the worlds top bike designers, developed by industrial engineers with many years of experience in cutting edge product development - plus we incorporate constant feedback from our trusted circle of mechanics and proffesional racers.

FRAME: Our frame is built with light weight custom drawn aluminum and anodized finish for strength and low maintainence. It is designed with a special focus on low weight, high performance and durability. They are precision made by low quantity manufactures using some of the latest technologies available. The products are then tested in state of the art industry test machines and by top notch riders for real world durability.
SYSTEM: This unique system consists of a specially designed linkage with the shock mounted over the top tube, designed to reduce power loss both on the flat and uphill. SHOCK LOCATION: "Am I going to hit the shock with my boys" :> No. If your down there while peddling then you have bigger issues at hand...... as for stand over height, you'll notice that our top tube slopes and bends to accommodate the top mounted shock. The top of the shock is actually lower than most standard top tubes. WHY ON TOP?: One reason we mount on top is to create more rigid front and rear triangles. This combination with the new linkage design ensures a straight push on the shock. When using an air shock this is critical. If the shock is forced to move as a stressed member in the articulation of the the suspensions arc the shocks seal and shaft finish will continually fail. Our system alleviates this stress cutting down on fric¬tion. This set-up also means you don’t need an additional pro-pedalling shock – a big cost saving that also boosts performance by reducing bobbing. A shock in this position also gives you easy access to lock outs while riding, and does away with any need for remote lockout access systems. The Pronghorn Racing A.P.L.S. system lets you use the exact type of shock you prefer. The A.P.L.S. set-up features a special reinforced seat stay with the rear drop-out section welded directly onto it. This gives greater strength and enables us to use the horstlink more efficiently. This unique design means we’ve been able to move the horstlink closer to the bottom bracket. The payoff is that you lose less power when pedalling over rough terrain.

what are the numbers on the frame?

The numbers on the frame tubes tell the length of the tubes.
